Placement Support

When a family in crisis is facing placement disruption, YES can provide assistance to the Marion County Department of Child Services family case managers as they make a range of decisions from removing a child from an unsafe environment to leaving the child in the home with a safety plan or other options such as placement with relatives. This collaboration ensures children are placed in the most home-like environment as quickly as possible.

Unique aspects of our program include twenty-four hour access to:

Family-centered crisis intervention sessions
Safety planning to ensure family stability
Relative identification and assessment for potential child placement
Foster family or shelter care placement when relative and kinship placement is not available
