Parent Support Groups
In early 1998, Rainbows began to host a support group for families of the Dawn Project. This monthly gathering for families, run by families, serves as a safe, comfortable haven of peers. We utilize this time to support, educate and advocate for ourselves as we deal with ongoing issues faced when mental and emotional challenges strike a young family member.
Childcare is provided for 5-18 year olds. A warm meal is provided for parents and children. Educational topics and speakers are chosen by the families.
