Maryland Choices - RTC Waiver

RTC Waiver is a program for youth ages 6-20 who are experiencing serious mental health needs. Youth in the RTC Waiver receive the same standard of care as youth in other Maryland Choices programs. Youth in this program are eligible for support that includes peer-to-peer support and training for families or youth; crisis, stabilization and behavioral services; and respite care. Youth are served through a wraparound process, which guarantees a family- centered and individualized plan of care.

To be eligible to participate in the RTC Waiver, youth must meet certain financial and medical criteria. Please contact Maryland Choices for eligibility criteria and enrollment information. Youth and families that are a good fit for this program are:

• willing to stay in the home placement
• available for intensive, in-home and community-based approaches to care and are
• prepared to be part of the child and family team.
